CALEB PONTON, CFRE

Caleb Ponton is a community organizer based in Chapel Hill, NC.

He serves as Development Manager for Democracy North Carolina, is a board member of Harmony: NC LGBT+ Allied Chamber of Commerce, and is the founder of the arts and culture site JUICEBOX DURHAM.

Caleb is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and holds a Certificate in Fund Raising Management from Indiana University's Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. He is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits. He is also a graduate of the NC Nonprofit Management Institute and Kim Klein’s training course “Fundraising for Social Change”.

After growing up in Wilmington, NC, Caleb earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Appalachian State University. He has previously worked with the New Hanover County Board of Elections, Appalachian State’s Outdoor Programs, and the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association.

He is an Eagle Scout and a trained 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200).

Caleb is a firm believer in the power of positive belief and transformation through faith in action.
